Course Description

  • Students will learn the elements of social research theory and design, including ways of defining and measuring social variables. We will look at examples of research, paying special attention to the ways in which data are used in the social sciences. Students will develop an independent research project, and submit a research proposal with a fully-specified methodology and scheduled plan of action for completing the project.
